A Wish Fulfilled

One of the images I had cherished in my mind when I decided to quit work was of me sitting in the balcony or by the window, watching the rain pour.

Today, I get my wish.

Later, I will worry about the ickiness and the mud and the difficulty of getting laundry to dry, about how the Guy will get home and about me being stranded at home.

But for now, all I want to do is revel in how beautiful the rain is. And how lovely it is to be in my home, looking out of the window.

isnt it the beautiful. its sad that it was the same rain before when one worked but could hardly stop and enjoy it like this..

and how one desperately looks for a break from the routine to be able to enjoy all the mundane simple small joys of life..

i wish n hope both are possible together for many out there..
I am enjoying my break the way you are.. but sometimes feel it would be nice to have both :)

Wow! That's something soothing.. The other day, I sat out in the balcony watching the rain and clicking pictures of the beautiful flowers in my pots. Felt heavenly.

Tara: Indeed. When I was working this was one thing I truly missed.

Rohini: That sounds lovely. I need to get some pots and hope the plants won't die on me this time!

Yes, the rain is beautiful, though its attendant problems are not- my lane gets waterlogged, which is a nuisance. I solved the laundry issue by buying a 100% drier:)

So all's good with the world. It started raining yesterday in Mumbai..and for a change I will not curse the rain and the ensuing havoc but embrace it.
I am dreading going back to routine work..:-(

Mystic Margarita: I'm enjoying it today, too. It's raining even harder than yesterday. But it's Saturday, and I have (had?) plans!

Dipali: Our house hasn't seen the monsoons yet, so it's too early to say what problems we're going to have!

Lost: But why ARE you going back to routine work?
