Mid-Week Reads: Fairy Tales

Read this fairy tale. And then go read Deborah's interview on Women's Web (and not just because she mentions me.)

And while on fairy tales, read this inspiring story of a poor Dalit woman, married off at 12, who went on tobecome a successful entrepreneur and manages a multimillion dollar company. (Via Women's Web) Here'san older story from the Economic Times.

I'm loving this short story in the form of tweets.

I really liked this piece about the so-called mommy wars.
Stop making little girls change who they are because they want to be liked.

How to get 50% women speakers at a tech conference.

Read this about ridiculous sex tips from magazines if only for the pleasure of this line:
MHM continues to attack sex and dating like an amateur scientist trying to track wildebeest — some creeping, lots of “science” and a low probability of success.
Obama asking a kid to touch his hair to see if it feels the same as his—so very sweet.
