That's right, I've been blogging for six years. The early posts make me
cringe, and there are many opinions I have revised. But I'm glad to see
that I've become smarter over the years! If older = wiser, I guess that
is a good trade-off.
For those of you who haven't following me from the beginning (which is everyone except the Guy? and maybe Pallavi?), here are some posts that still make me smile, not cringe, when I read them again.
If you're a lurker, this might be a good time to come out and say hi! And lurkers and commenters alike: tell me why you come here. For those of you who haven't following me from the beginning (which is everyone except the Guy? and maybe Pallavi?), here are some posts that still make me smile, not cringe, when I read them again.
- A midnight ramble with the Guy
- What I can live with. Unfortunately, I seem to be growing more materialistic with time!
- The story of the silver bag
- Another story titled Dialogue
- A love note to the Guy
- My childhood homes
- The worst relationship advice I've ever got
- On women and financial freedom
- Rude responses to rude questions
- Fun times at a friend's wedding in Delhi
- A birthday message to the Guy
- Here I complain about going back to work after a long break. Funnily enough, I still do many of those (not leave the house for days, not shower until I stink, wear an old holey t-shirt and shorts all day) since I work from home, even in my corporate job, which I have loved and worked very happily at for two years now!

Congratulations!
I love being in blog-contact with a woman from an entirely different part of the world. And I love your writing. Thank you for all the wit and wisdom you have shared here.
Deborah: Aw, thank you! You're one of my absolutely-favorite bloggers, so thank you for putting a smile on my face.
SIX years!! wow thats a long long time..as much time as I have been married!! baap rey!!
here's to more writing, more mid week reads, more voices in the head *looks hopeful* and thanks for linking your older posts...going to book mark this one and read at leisure :)
Errr...that previous comment is mine :)
R's Mom
R's Mom: Yes, yes, we know it's you. :)
Thank you for the kind comment. I've contemplated continuing with the Voices in My Head, but it didn't make a lot of sense to me. I want to write more fiction, but not for some months, I think. I just can't find the time or energy.
Yay for 6 years for blogging! If it weren't for this forum, I'd be missing out on knowing you. Even though we have Effe in common and we live in the same city whereas she doesn't, the distances and schedules are such that I can't see you as often as I'd like to. But thankfully, your blog is at my fingertips. I believe I've read every single post of yours, and whether I agree with the content or not, I love you for your clarity of thoughts and the ability to express them well :)
Pallu: Aw, thank you. Now I'll have to try harder to meet you soon!
Hi Unmana,
Congratulations on your six years and here is to six more :-). Just wanted to let you know that you are one of my fav bloggers (though I hardly ever comment) and your mid-week reads are a pathway to me to so many other blogs that I might otherwise never have had a chance to read. Thank you :-)
Sanjana: Thank YOU!
Unmana..I might not have started reading 6 years back ,but I have already read all the links you have shown here ..some of them so many times that I don't even have to open them to scan the content !!You are my all time favorite though I don't comment a lot ..Congratulations :)
S: Thank you for reading, and for everything you said!
Hey,

Congratulations! Love your writing style, variety of subjects you tackle, and most of all your wit. Looking forward to many more years of insightful and entertaining posts :)
