Mid-Week Reads

Some April Fool gags.

AdWords.

TechCrunch.

Here's a list.

And another.
On to gender issues, the one constant topic in Mid-Week Reads.

Adopting her own son.

I LOVE the idea of a SlutWalk.

Being successful.

I love Nokia's E7 ad, and they have a success project to go with it.

A "how to be awesome" guide that reads a little like Barney Stinson wrote it. (Actually, no. Barney was never this awesome.)

From the same source, here's how to love your life more.

Other stuff.

Art can't survive on 99 cents a piece.

The Mad Momma tells us why she didn't watch the World Cup final. I agree with her, but I'm glad I watched it.

I'm adding this bit of writing, just because it's so very well-written and because that little girl seems so awfully smart. And another from the same blog.

On watching Woody Allen movies. I've loved some of his movies (Annie Hall, Vicky Christina Barcelona, the Mighty Aphrodite, Match Point) and was underwhelmed by some (Madagascar, Love and Death, Scoop) and the man's personal life is, to say the least, icky. But the best I can say of him is that he's interesting, that he, as this article says, raises questions but doesn't give you pat answers.
