A Seven-Year-Old Child - and How We Let Her Down

When I first read this bit of news, it immediately triggered my suspicions. (Maybe because I remember being sexually abused in a car as a child.) Turns out I was - probably - right.

The saddest part is the refusal of the police to admit there might be foul play involved.

There is so much wrong in our society and state, and this is one very shocking reminder.

Sad, very sad...I hope justice is done but I'm doubtful...

Yup... she got into the unlocked car and the central locking system "accidentally" switched itself on. I'm assuming this was in the back seat without any access to the locking system (which is in the driver's seat and needs the car key as well!).

I remember long back, sitting inside cars with windows shut for quite some time and don't really remember any suffocating feelings (except sweating because of the heat). Cars are not enclosed like a vault or something... there are ventilation holes. But of course, quite naturally in this case, the girl had a stroke, suffocated and died with blood in her underpants... all a "natural" phenomenon for heart patients and its all been sent to the lab, postmortem, etc and awaiting results.

Its been 4 days, and more than enough time to manufacture consent. As predicted, No updates showing up in the news... Just hope this doesn't get hushed out of sight...

This is so sad - honestly. And what really cheeses me off is the fact that these politicians get away with anything and everything - they seem beyond the arm of the law. And this, in a state which calls itself a democracy !!

I hope, I sincerely hope that justice is done .... though as an earlier comment said - it seems more like a wishful thought.

But one can always hope ...

It is really unlikely that this was an accident. There does seem to be foul play involved.
I really hope there is enough noise and some real investigation is carried out.

It is shocking the way this is being hushed up. I must confess I have little hope that justice will prevail... Have you ever wondered how many children go through similar - if not fatal - abuse in our country, abuse that is rarely reported or publicised?

Oh God.. this is a shame. I hope Justice is delivered.
Child abuse...its such a shame...only the victim knows the pain. No one else

Maitreyee: Thanks for the link. I hope there's some progress in the case and it's not totally hushed up.
